Senior Frontend Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Software Engineer who is passionate about developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, reliable, and visually stunning user interfaces. At Swimlane, we take pride in our highly interactive UIs with their sharp, modern aesthetic.

Job Description

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will join our software development team in Hyderabad and collaborate with experienced engineers worldwide. In this role, you will:

• Develop innovative features for the Swimlane application, enabling customers to automate their security processes with no/low-code solutions.
• Work closely with our design team and other engineers to ensure our application is performant and intuitive.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features throughout the software lifecycle, from defining non-functional requirements (performance, security, observability) to design, implementation, testing, production monitoring, and continuous improvement, embracing DevOps/DevSecOps principles.
• Work with a well-architected, clean, and robust codebase built with TypeScript, Angular, and SCSS/SASS, featuring a modern interface.
• Evaluate and implement new libraries and components.
• Champion the development of high-quality software and promote best practices to ensure reliable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant applications.
• Drive improvements in engineering practices and code quality.
• Contribute to and help manage our open-source libraries.
• Mentor other frontend engineers.

Requirements for the Candidate

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• BS/MS/Ph.D. in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience specializing in enterprise SaaS software within product-centric companies.
• A strong understanding of building complex, single-page JavaScript applications using frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and SCSS/SASS.
• A solid understanding of unit, service, and integration testing.
• Enthusiasm for creating intuitive UIs and a clear understanding of what makes an interface easy to use.
• Ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance work quality and efficiency through thoughtful integration and critical evaluation.
• A strong ability to learn quickly.
• Strong communication skills.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Experience with Web Components and Custom Elements.
• Understanding of data visualization concepts and technologies (SVG, ).
• Familiarity with JavaScript build tools such as Vite.
• Experience with Git source control.
• Hands-on experience with Unit and E2E Testing , Chai, Karma, Jasmine, etc.).
• Experience building responsive interfaces.
• A keen eye for designing visually appealing products.
• Some experience.
• Experience using RESTful Web Service Architecture.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest software engineering trends.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
