Position Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Department: Turbine Auxiliary Mechanical

Purpose Of the Position: To manage and execute erection, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of turbine and generator auxiliary systems, ensuring reliable performance,

safety, and efficiency in plant operations.

Job Summary: The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing auxiliary systems of turbines and generators such as condensers, pumps, cooling systems, lube oil systems, seal oil systems, CEP and piping. The role requires technical expertise, project execution skills, troubleshooting ability, and

leadership to guide site teams for successful project delivery.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead erection, testing, and commissioning turbine and generator auxiliary systems.
  • Plan and supervise piping, cooling water, lubrication, and sealing systems.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and vendor specifications.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for auxiliaries.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, instrumentation, QA/QC, purchase).
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards during site execution.
  • Monitor performance of auxiliary systems and optimize efficiency.
  • Prepare technical reports, work schedules, and progress updates.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and supervisors at site.

Technical Skill:

  • Strong knowledge of turbine and generator auxiliaries (condensers, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, piping).
  • Expertise in lube oil, seal oil, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience in erection, alignment, and commissioning of auxiliary equipment.
  • Knowledge of vibration analysis, balancing, and condition monitoring.
  • MS Office proficiency.

Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

  • 8 - 10 years in erection, commissioning, and maintenance of turbine and generator auxiliary systems.

Location

  • Remote, India (As per Company requirement).
