Data Scientist

Our site in Pune, India is seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in statistics, knowledge graphs, machine learning and generative AI. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quantitative analysis, experience with complex data structures, and is well-versed in designing and implementing AI models using Knowledge Graphs. You will play a pivotal role in building and deploying sophisticated data models, extracting insights, and developing scalable AI solutions for our product lines.

What You'll Do:

• Develop predictive models for equipment maintenance, product quality, and process optimization.
• Analyze production line data to identify bottlenecks and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Create and maintain machine learning models for defect detection and quality control.
• Collaborate with process engineers to implement statistical process control methods.
• Design and implement data collection strategies for production floor sensors and IoT devices.
• Build dashboards and visualization tools to monitor real-time production metrics.
• Conduct time series analysis to forecast production demands and resource needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
• Document methodologies, findings, and technical specifications for all projects.

What We Seek:

Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on statistical modeling, knowledge graphs, and/or generative AI applications.

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data science libraries.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial systems.
• Track record of implementing data science solutions in production environments.
• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, ArangoDB) and graph algorithms.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and generative AI models.
• Experience managing workloads in cloud analytic environments (e.g. GCP/AWS/Azure).

Other Skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Experience with large language models and/or transformers.
• Familiarity with knowledge representation and semantic web technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL).
• Proficiency with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
