Job Descriptions:

Location: Any UST Office

We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer with 6+ years of experience in backend application development, including strong expertise in Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will have experience designing scalable APIs and services, building cloud-native backend systems, and integrating them into modern CI/CD pipelines (GitLab). This role involves collaborating across teams to deliver resilient, high-quality systems while driving engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end product features.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems.
  • Implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning.
  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability across all backend systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high system availability.

Must-Have Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development.
  • 1+ year of relevant hands-on experience with Kotlin, strong proficiency in Java.
  • Expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation using GitLab CI.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows.
