Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our DevOps ecosystem across cloud, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and observability. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automation, containerization, IaC, and modern DevOps tools, with hands-on expertise in Python, Jenkins, Terraform, TeamCity, and ELK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and TeamCity for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline operational processes and improve system reliability.
  • Architect, implement, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Containerize applications and manage container lifecycle using Docker and related tooling (e.g., Docker Compose, container registries).
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, and Cloud teams to ensure smooth delivery of software releases.
  • Improve system scalability, performance, security, and reliability through proactive DevOps practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide long-term prevention solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members, promote DevOps best practices, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps
  • Strong expertise in:
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, TeamCity
  • Scripting & Automation: Python, Bash
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform
  • Containerization: Docker
  • Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Solid understanding of Git, Git branching strategies, and version control best practices.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and cloud services (AWS / Azure / GCP).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration solutions.
  • Knowledge of Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for config management.
  • Exposure to cloud-native observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Experience with security automation, DevSecOps, and cloud/network security.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
