We're Hiring: MPI Inspector

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled
MPI Inspector
to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
and related testing on forged and machined components in line with
API 5CT
and international standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI):

· Perform
wet fluorescent and dry powder MPI
on forged and machined components, including couplings, pup joints, and other tubular accessories.

· Ensure inspection is conducted per
ASTM E709
,
ASME Section V
, and
API 5CT
requirements.

· Prepare and interpret
MPI reports
, identifying surface and subsurface discontinuities such as cracks, laps, seams, or inclusions.

· Ensure calibration and sensitivity checks of MPI equipment (yokes, bench units, UV lamps, etc.) are carried out as per standard frequency.

2. Visual and Dimensional Inspection:

· Conduct pre- and post-MPI
visual inspection
of components for surface condition and marking verification.

· Assist in
dimensional inspection
of critical parameters related to threaded parts, following API 5B/5CT guidelines.

3. Testing and Quality Verification:

· Support
hydro testing
,
hardness testing
, and
mechanical testing
processes when required.

· Maintain traceability of inspected materials and ensure proper stamping, tagging, and documentation.

· Ensure all tests conform to
customer drawings, QAPs, and inspection test plans (ITP)
.

4. Documentation and Compliance:

· Maintain
MPI logs, NDT reports, calibration certificates, and inspection records
.

· Follow company quality management system and procedures in line with
ISO 9001
and
API Q1
standards.

· Participate in
internal audits
and support corrective/preventive actions related to inspection findings.

Qualifications:

·
Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical / Metallurgical)
with
ASNT Level II in MPI
(mandatory).

·
2–3 years of experience
in forging or machining industries.

· Strong knowledge of
API 5CT / API 5B standards
preferred.
