About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with a strong understanding of financial markets, algorithmic trading, and broker APIs. The ideal candidate will work closely with our trading and product teams to design, develop, and maintain robust trading strategies and automation systems across multiple brokers and exchanges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated trading systems using Python.
  • Integrate with multiple broker APIs (e.g., Upstox, Zerodha, Kotak, Religare, Dhan, etc.).
  • Implement, backtest, and optimize algorithmic trading strategies.
  • Handle real-time data feeds, order execution, and portfolio management modules.
  • Build tools for market data analysis, strategy performance reporting, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with traders and quants to translate ideas into executable strategies.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and low-latency performance of trading systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python (Async, REST APIs, Pandas, NumPy, Flask/FastAPI).
  • Hands-on experience with broker or exchange APIs (REST, WebSocket).
  • Basic understanding of stock market concepts equities, derivatives, options, order types, etc.
  • Experience with algorithmic or automated strategy development.
  • Familiarity with real-time data handling, order management, and logging systems.
  • Knowledge of version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.

Preferred / Good to Have

  • Experience with Upstox, Zerodha, Kotak, Religare, Dhan, or similar broker APIs.
  • Exposure to strategy backtesting frameworks (e.g., Backtrader, Zipline, or custom backtesters).
  • Experience in data visualization (Plotly, Dash, Matplotlib).
  • Knowledge of trading risk management, PnL calculation, and performance metrics.
  • Basic understanding of financial instruments and indicators (RSI, EMA, MACD, etc.).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • (Optional) Certification in Financial Markets or Algo Trading is a plus.
