We are currently seeking a Automation Consultant with C# to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in C#, Selenium, and RestSharp to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing robust automation frameworks, leading test automation initiatives, and ensuring high-quality delivery in BFSI environments. The role requires hands-on technical proficiency, strong domain knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Frameworks
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using C# with Selenium WebDriver and RestSharp.
  • Implement best practices in coding, debugging, and test automation architecture.
• Functional & API Automation
  • Automate functional test scenarios for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Develop robust automated test suites for RESTful services using RestSharp.
• Quality Engineering & Assurance
  • Ensure test automation aligns with business requirements in Banking/Financial Services & Insurance systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Support regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile & Collaboration
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to define acceptance criteria and refine user stories.
  • Mentor junior engineers on automation best practices and coding standards.
• Continuous Improvement & DevOps
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Contribute to test strategy, test governance, and continuous process improvements.
  • Monitor and report test results, metrics, and KPIs to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Core Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in C#.
  • Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
  • Solid experience with RestSharp for API automation.
  • Good knowledge of test frameworks (NUnit, MSTest, xUnit).
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in automation scripts.
• Domain & Methodology
  • Minimum 3+ years' BFSI domain experience (Banking, Payments, Lending, Insurance).
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to working in regulatory and compliance-driven environments.
• Tooling & Ecosystem
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with SQL and basic database testing.
  • Hands-on with test management tools (JIRA, Azure Test Plans, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber).
• Familiarity with service virtualization and mocking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent QA certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
