Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced
AMS Design Verification Engineer
with 5+ years of hands-on experience in verifying complex analog/mixed-signal IPs and subsystems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of comprehensive verification plans to ensure first-pass silicon success in leading-edge semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute
    AMS verification plans
    for mixed-signal IPs and SoCs, including specifications coverage and corner case analysis.
  • Model analog behavior in
    Verilog-AMS/SystemVerilog
    for mixed-signal simulations.
  • Create testbenches and perform
    co-simulation
    (digital + analog) using tools like
    Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor
    environments.
  • Work closely with design, digital verification, and system teams to understand functionality and drive verification closure.
  • Write
    assertions, checkers, monitors, and functional coverage
    for AMS blocks.
  • Debug simulation failures, analyze waveforms, and collaborate with design engineers to resolve issues.
  • Automate regression test environments and analyze coverage metrics to ensure verification completeness.
  • Participate in
    pre-silicon validation
    and support
    post-silicon debug
    , if required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience
    in AMS design verification.
  • Strong proficiency with
    Verilog-AMS
    ,
    SystemVerilog
    , and
    mixed-signal simulation environments
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    analog and digital design fundamentals
    , including signal integrity, timing, noise, and power.
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies such as
    UVM
    ,
    SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA)
    , and
    functional coverage
    .
  • Experience with EDA tools such as
    Cadence AMS Designer
    ,
    Spectre
    ,
    Virtuoso
    ,
    Xcelium
    , or similar.
  • Proficient in
    scripting languages
    like Python, Perl, or Tcl for automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-speed PHYs, ADC/DACs, PLLs, LDOs, or other analog IP blocks.
  • Knowledge of
    formal verification
    techniques or
    model-based design
    .
  • Exposure to
    DFT
    ,
    DFM
    , or
    layout-dependent effects (LDE)
    in AMS designs.
  • Familiarity with
    version control systems
    (e.g., Git, Perforce).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
