Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and train computer vision models for defect detection (cracks, corrosion, surface anomalies) using image and thermal datasets.
  • Build AI inference APIs (FastAPI / Flask) to integrate models with the AeroAI Cloud Dashboard.
  • Design predictive models for vibration/sensor data (FFT-based anomaly detection, signal processing).
  • Preprocess and clean real inspection data (images, videos, and CSV logs) for training and testing.
  • Integrate and optimize model pipelines for speed, accuracy, and low latency inference.
  • Evaluate and fine-tune pre-trained models (e.g. YOLO, EfficientNet, ViT, MobileNet) for inspection use cases.
  • Work closely with the Full Stack Developer to ensure seamless integration with the dashboard.
  • Prepare technical documentation, datasets, and AI experiment logs.

Required Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in AI/ML / Computer Vision / Data Science.
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and OpenCV.
  • Experience building and serving models with FastAPI or Flask.
  • Solid understanding of image classification, object detection, and signal processing.
  • Experience working with time-series / vibration data (FFT, filtering, anomaly detection).
  • Familiarity with data labeling and augmentation tools (Roboflow, CVAT, LabelImg).
  • Hands-on experience deploying or testing models via REST APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and startup agility.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Hugging Face, Roboflow, or Google AutoML for rapid prototyping.
  • Familiarity with Edge AI or lightweight models for real-time inference.
  • Exposure to 3D data / point clouds / thermal imagery.
  • Basic experience integrating AI into full-stack applications (React + API flow).
  • Interest in renewable energy, robotics, or industrial automation.
