Key Responsibilities (KRA):
- Production Handling:
Oversee and manage the complete production process of bedsheets, bags, and other textile products from start to finish, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely output.
- Contractor (Thekedar) Coordination:
Work harmoniously with thekedars/contractors. Allocate work properly, monitor progress, and ensure targets are met as per company quality standards and timelines.
- Coordination with Merchandising & Head Office:
Align with the merchandising team and head office to understand design requirements, production timelines, and daily updates on work status.
- Production Planning & Execution:
Prepare and share daily/weekly production plans after discussions with the merchandisers and head office. Ensure proper follow-up and smooth workflow on the production floor.
- Raw Material & Resource Management:
Raise timely requirements for fabric, accessories, and other raw materials needed for production. Verify and communicate material shortages immediately.
- Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of finished goods and work-in-progress inventory. Share regular updates and stock reports with management.
- Dispatch Coordination:
Manage the dispatch of finished goods and ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packing before goods leave the production unit.
- Contractor Accounts & Distribution:
Maintain proper accounts of contractor work and payments. Ensure job cards, production slips, and records are updated and provided to the concerned team.
- Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management. Reporting includes status updates, material usage, production quantity, and any issues faced.
- Product Requirement & Verification:
Verify the production requirements and quantities as per merchandising instructions and ensure the correct materials are used.
- Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate production workers and contractors to work efficiently and maintain discipline and quality in the production process.
- Stitching & Technical Knowledge:
Must have sound knowledge of stitching techniques, fabric behavior, and machine operations to supervise and solve on-floor production issues effectively.
- Excel & Data Management:
Maintain production data, tracking sheets, and reports in Microsoft Excel or ERP format for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
- Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all products meet company quality standards. Identify and rectify issues during production to avoid rework or rejection.
- Problem Solving & Initiative:
Take initiative to resolve production challenges, manage manpower shortages, and ensure smooth coordination between departments.
