Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Trader to join our Global Asset Management team at GIFT City. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing and managing trades across US and other international markets in alignment with the firms investment strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of global capital markets, portfolio execution, and risk management principles, along with the ability to work collaboratively with portfolio managers, research analysts, and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute trades across US, European, and Asian markets covering equities, ETFs, derivatives, and fixed-income instruments in accordance with investment mandates.
  • Ensure best execution by monitoring market depth, liquidity, and transaction costs.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers to implement investment and rebalancing strategies effectively.
  • Track global macroeconomic developments, market trends, and corporate events impacting portfolios.
  • Maintain accurate trade records, support trade reconciliation, and coordinate with operations for settlements.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures, risk limits, and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to system automation, process optimization, and technology-driven trading enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the risk and compliance teams to ensure adherence to GIFT City and international regulatory frameworks.
  • Work in alignment with international market hours, primarily US trading sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 37 years of experience in trading or portfolio execution within asset management, investment banking, or institutional trading environments.
  • Strong knowledge of US and global market structures, order types, and trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Interactive Brokers, Reuters, etc.).
  • Understanding of portfolio management concepts, risk metrics, and asset allocation.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Familiarity with GIFT City operational framework and SEZ compliance is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours aligned with international markets.

Preferred Certifications:

  • NISM / NCFM (Derivatives or Equity Modules)
  • CFA / FRM / Series 7 / Series 63 or equivalent international certification preferred.
