Role Description

The
Biomedical Engineer
is responsible for ensuring that all biomedical equipment across the hospital is maintained in optimal working condition, enabling uninterrupted patient care and smooth clinical operations. The role involves managing preventive and breakdown maintenance, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, supporting clinical staff in equipment usage, and maintaining detailed documentation of equipment performance.

This position requires hands-on technical skills, strong coordination with clinical departments, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards for all medical equipment.

Qualifications

B.E. or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee
  preventive and breakdown maintenance
  to ensure zero downtime of medical equipment.
• Strong skills and experience in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering.
• Manage complaint logging, tracking & resolution on a daily basis.
• Support doctors, nursing staff & operators in equipment usage and troubleshooting.
• Ensure timely calibration, upkeep, and optimal performance of all biomedical equipment.
• Maintain compliance with
  NABH
  and other accreditation standards.
• Provide
  training & on-job support
  to equipment users.
• Maintain registers, documentation, and daily reporting.

Experience

• Minimum
  1 year of clinical / biomedical engineering experience
• Hospital experience is mandatory
