About the Role:

We are seeking a
Senior Software Testing Engineer
with strong hands-on experience in
BigCommerce, Shopify
, and
B2B ecommerce platforms
to lead our quality assurance efforts. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a structured approach to testing, and deep understanding of ecommerce workflows to ensure our digital storefronts deliver seamless, reliable, and scalable customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute
    end-to-end test strategies
    for BigCommerce and Shopify-based websites, extensions, and third-party integrations.
  • Perform
    functional
    ,
    UI/UX
    ,
    regression
    ,
    smoke
    ,
    API
    , and
    system testing
    across web and mobile platforms.
  • Validate all ecommerce flows including:
  • Product listings and search
  • Category filtering and navigation
  • Shopping cart, checkout, and order placement
  • Coupon/discount logic
  • Shipping, tax, and payment gateway validations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay)
  • B2B logic such as bulk pricing, custom catalogs, RFQs, and tiered access
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, designers, and business analysts to understand features and define test coverage.
  • Conduct
    cross-browser
    and
    cross-device
    testing to ensure consistent customer experience across platforms.
  • Automate
    repetitive or critical test cases using tools like
    Selenium
    ,
    Cypress
    , or similar frameworks.
  • Integrate automation into
    CI/CD pipelines
    and monitor test execution on staging/production builds.
  • Log, track, and prioritize bugs using tools like
    JIRA
    , and contribute to test documentation via
    TestRail
    ,
    Zephyr
    , etc.
  • Lead UAT cycles and support production validation during deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of software testing experience, including:
  • Minimum 2 years in
    BigCommerce
    and/or
    Shopify
    -based ecommerce platforms
  • Proven experience testing
    B2B ecommerce workflows
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce architectures and third-party integrations (ERPs, CRMs, marketing automation tools).
  • Knowledge of RESTful API testing using
    Postman
    ,
    Swagger
    , or similar.
  • Familiarity with
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    , and ecommerce front-end structures.
  • Hands-on experience with
    test automation
    and modern QA toolsets.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and QA best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
