Job Description:

The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters concerning Property, Corporate, Civil, Real Estate, Trademark, and Intellectual Property laws. This role involves offering strategic legal counsel to senior management, ensuring full regulatory compliance, mitigating legal risks, and safeguarding the organizations interests in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Property & Real Estate Law:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate lease agreements, sale deeds, MoUs, title documents, and other related documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence of properties, including verification of titles, encumbrances, and land-use permissions.
  • Handle land acquisition, lease renewals, property tax issues, and registration formalities.
  • Coordinate with landowners, external counsels, and government bodies.
  • Support corporate loan processes with legal documentation, securities, and MODs.

2. Corporate Law & Compliance:

  • Draft and vet board resolutions, shareholders agreements, JV agreements, and other corporate documents.
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and compliance with statutory filings.
  • Manage legal issues pertaining to civil, criminal, and contractual (CCC) matters.

3. Civil & Contractual Matters:

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and export/import agreements.
  • Support arbitration and litigation procedures, including documentation and case tracking.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors for court proceedings and updates.

4. Trademarks & Intellectual Property

  • Oversee trademark registrations, renewals, and enforcement of brand IP rights.
  • Handle IP disputes, infringements, and opposition filings.
  • Maintain the companys IP portfolio in collaboration with IP consultants.

5. Risk Management & Legal Advisory

  • Provide legal opinions and develop risk mitigation strategies for business functions.
  • Assist in internal investigations, audits, and corporate compliance activities.
  • Conduct awareness sessions and training programs on legal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian laws (Property, Corporate, Civil, IPR).
  • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven litigation management and external counsel coordination.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven.
  • High integrity and sound judgment.
