We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ETL DataStage Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL workflows using IBM DataStage, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data integration solutions in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using IBM DataStage to support business intelligence and data warehousing initiatives.
• Analyze source data and develop DataStage jobs for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Optimize performance of DataStage jobs and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing DataStage jobs, ensuring data quality and adherence to best practices.
• Develop documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows.
• Implement data validation, error handling, and logging mechanisms.
• Work within a team environment following Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest DataStage features and industry trends related to data integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in ETL development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience using IBM DataStage.
• Strong understanding of DataStage components, including job design, sequences, and parallel processing.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
• Good understanding of data quality, data governance, and data security principles.
• Experience working with large datasets and performance tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Certification in DataStage or related data management certifications.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
