Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and caring School Nurse to provide comprehensive health services to our students and staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and wellness of the school community, providing first aid and emergency care, managing student health records, and collaborating with parents and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

  • First Aid and Emergency Care: Provide immediate first aid and emergency care to students and staff for injuries and illnesses. Assess situations and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications to students according to physician orders and parental consent, maintaining accurate records.
  • Health Assessments: Conduct health screenings and assessments for students, including vision, hearing, height, weight, and other health parameters as required. Identify and document any health concerns.
  • Immunization Records: Maintain and monitor student immunization records, ensuring compliance with school and health regulations.
  • Health Education: Provide health education to students and staff on various topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and safety.
  • Chronic Disease Management: Assist students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies) by developing individualized health care plans in collaboration with parents and healthcare providers.
  • Communicable Disease Control: Implement protocols for the prevention and management of communicable diseases within the school setting.
  • Health Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Parent Communication: Communicate with parents regarding student health concerns, providing updates and seeking necessary information or consent.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate student care.
  • Referral Services: Refer students and families to appropriate healthcare providers or community resources when necessary.
  • Health Promotion: Promote health and wellness within the school community through various initiatives and programs.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain the school's health supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (essential)
  • Licensing: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Gujarat, India (essential)

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably with experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of nursing procedures.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency 1 in maintaining accurate records.
  • Knowledge of school health regulations and guidelines.

Salary:

INR 15, ,000 per month. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
