We're seeking someone with strong expertise in Adobe InDesign, XML structuring, and typesetting, along with hands-on experience in developing reusable templates and component libraries that support automated PDF generation from structured content.
This role requires both creative and technical proficiency — managing InDesign-based workflows, ensuring print accuracy, and enabling scalable, automated print product generation aligned with instructional design and publishing standards.

- Work cross-functionally with engineering and content teams to define technical requirements, structure metadata, and ensure seamless integration with print automation pipelines.
- Oversee InDesign and InCopy-based content creation and formatting.
- Tag and structure content using XML within print workflows.
- Export structured PDFs and prepare content for XML-based transformation.
- Ensure print accuracy, typographic quality, and content hierarchy.

- Collaborate with LMS and platform teams to define and expand a component library designed for generating print-ready PDFs from structured content.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, HTML, and InMath/MathType.
- Experience with publishing platforms such as Bento, Habitat, or similar.
- Strong understanding of bookwork and publishing workflows.
- Solid background in typesetting and composition for books or journals.
- Expertise in InDesign-to-XML and XML-to-InDesign workflows.
- Familiarity with JSON/XML data structures and their transformation into formatted print outputs.
- Understanding of structured content modeling, metadata tagging, and content engineering for automated print-ready output.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in educational publishing, content conversion, or a related digital/print production environment.
- Hands-on experience in defining and building content or component libraries within a platform or LMS environment.
- Experience in creating structured, reusable content for future digital transformation.
- Strong QA skills in print layout, formatting, and pagination accuracy.
- Proven ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and instructional design teams in an agile development environment.
Perks:
- Work with a dynamic team in a fast-growing company
- Engage in exciting book publishing projects
