About the Role

Are you a procurement specialist who understands the fast-paced demands of the pharmaceutical industry? Can you strategically source and manage raw materials for cutting-edge Biology R&D? If so, APSL is looking for a
Team Member - Sourcing
to join our dynamic Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.

In this critical role, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring our scientific teams have the materials they need without disruption. You'll be responsible for everything from strategic negotiations, vendor management, and ensuring cost-competitive pricing.

What You'll Do

  • End-to-End Procurement:
    Handle the entire procurement cycle (RFI/RFQ, comparative analysis, negotiations, PO placement, and follow-up) for
    Biology raw materials
    .
  • Strategic Sourcing:
    Collect and analyze market data, price history, and competition details to build robust sourcing strategies and achieve cost-saving targets.
  • Vendor Management:
    Act as the primary liaison with vendors. Coordinate to get samples, technical documents, facilitate vendor qualifications, manage GMP audits, and resolve payment or rejection issues.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal Scientists, Team Leaders, and Warehouse teams to track material movement, update availability in the CIS tool, and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    Ensure 100% compliance with cGMP, Regulatory/FDA guidelines, and SOX norms. You will also provide weekly MIS dashboard reports to leadership on cost impact and material movement.
  • Process Improvement:
    Proactively support the Team Leader in identifying and tracking demand-supply gaps and opportunities to improve overall SCM efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • Education:
    A degree as a Science Graduate, preferably from Biotech Background
  • Experience:
    3 to 8 years of procurement experience
    specifically within the pharmaceutical industry
    .
  • Must-Have Knowledge:
  • A strong, complete understanding of the
    SCM function MM module (e.g., SAP MM)
    .
  • Good working knowledge of SCM principles and processes.
  • Preferred Knowledge:
  • Experience in sourcing for
    Biology or Microbiology
    .
  • Broad understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
  • Skills:
    Excellent collaboration, strong interpersonal skills, and a reputation for
    speed and rigor in execution
    .
