Position Summary

Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you'll do:

As an Ignition Senior Consultant, you would have to establish seamless connectivity with plant data sources (OPC-UA/DA, Modbus, Profinet, MQTT, and more) for efficient data extraction and integration. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to unify and configure Ignition Software with ERP, MES, and databases, develop Vision/Perspective screens, and implement robust IoT data transport. Your expertise should include industrial standards (Sparkplug B, ISA 95), Python development, building OEE applications, RESTful APIs, AWS IoT integration, and Ignition Edge. Strong skills in technical documentation, analytics, and troubleshooting automation issues are essential.

Our professionals as part of the Supply Chain Network Operations (SCNO) service line within Enterprise Performance focus on helping organizations achieve sustainable competitive advantage throughout their operations, spanning product development, planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. We excel at translating strategic objectives into tangible, measurable outcomes at the operational level. By aligning high-level goals with frontline execution, we ensure our clients realize real value and improved performance across every stage of their supply chain and operations.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• 7 – 10 years of experience
• Hands-on experience in establishing communication channels with different plant data sources such as OPC-UA/DA, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, Profinet, Ethercat, MQTT. etc. to extract machines and process data
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Ignition Software solutions with existing systems (ERP, MES) and databases (MySQL & MS SQL)
• Previous Working experience on creating Vision/Perspective screens and deploy multiple clients.
• Unify & Configure namespace and enable data transport from Gateway to cloud via IoT protocols (MQTT, AMQP, CoAP)
• Should have sound knowledge of Sparkplug B, ISA 95 standards
• Writing efficient, maintainable, and scalable code in Python for various functionalities
• Should have created RESTful API's, able to pull data from 3rd party services via this protocol & also serve data to other applications
• Should have experience in building OEE Application in Ignition
• Hands-on experience in any one of PTC Kepware, SAP and AWS IoT Services
• Good understanding of common industrial data management methodologies such as historians (GE Proficy Historian, OSI PI etc.)
• Hands on experience on Ignition Edge
• Translating manufacturing functional requirements into technical solution architecture
• Author technical design documentation for the solutions Have a good understanding on AWS cloud services such as IoT Core, Lambda, DynamoDB, IoT Analytics & IoT Events.
• Ability to read automation control systems documentation and drawings
• Diagnose automation problems and interact with teams, clients, contractors and vendors.
• Experience with Data Analytics

Education:

• • BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Tech degree or equivalent from accredited university

Location:

• Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai/Kolkata

Shift Timings:

• 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST as per business requirements
