We are inviting applications for the role of SQL Developer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and writing complex queries to support business operations and analytics. You will work closely with data analysts and stakeholders to ensure data integrity, performance, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications and reporting tools.
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data migration and transformation.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Service (SSRS).
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database structures and processes.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
  • Understanding database security and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Sound knowledge MS-Excel
  • Logical reasoning and Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Has experience in presenting updates with business leaders/stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
  • Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
