Job Title: School Librarian

Location: Sector 102, Near Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram

Salary: upto30k

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib) or equivalent.

Prior experience as a school librarian preferred.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Library Management Software).

Passion for books, reading, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and organize library materials including books, magazines, and digital resources.

Classify, catalogue, and update the library database regularly.

Assist students and teachers in finding relevant books and information.

Promote reading and literacy through book fairs, reading clubs, and activities.

Ensure proper issuing, returning, and tracking of library books.

Maintain a quiet, disciplined, and welcoming library environment.

Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum needs with appropriate materials.

Manage inventory, handle book repairs, and recommend new book purchases.

Maintain library budget and submit reports to school management.

Oversee the use of computers and other digital learning tools in the library.
