CAM Programmer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CAM Programmer to join our CNC Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and validating CAM programs to drive CNC machines using NX CAM software. This role is critical to ensuring precision manufacturing and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAM Program Development:

• Conceptualize and generate CAM programs for 3D models.

• Define cutting tools, strategies, and parameters in NX CAM.

• Map tools to each stage of operations and verify program accuracy.

• Simulation & Validation:

• Run tool path simulations and generate NC code.

• Conduct NC code simulations and virtual machine runs.

• Input Processing:

• Validate 3D geometry against 2D drawings.

• Assemble part geometry in fixtures on NX virtual templates.

• Process Support:

• Collaborate with process engineers for CNC part generation.

• Analyze QC reports and implement corrective actions.

• Documentation:

• Create setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

• Diploma or B.E in Mechanical / Production / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering.

• Experience:

• Minimum 5 years (B.E) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM programming.

• Technical Skills:

• Mandatory: GD&T, CNC micro-machining experience.

• Preferred: NX CAD, cutting tools knowledge, FANUC controller experience.
