Role Overview:

The Electrical & Electronics Engineer will play a key part in the
implementation of energy management projects
across commercial and industrial facilities. This role demands strong technical understanding, hands-on execution, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment of Elements Energy's hardware and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Implementation & Site Execution

  2. Conduct regular
    site visits
    to assess facility readiness for energy management system deployment.

  3. Understand and interpret
    Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
    , load distribution, and panel layouts for various types of facilities.
  4. Coordinate with facility teams, contractors, and internal design/tech teams for smooth project execution.
  5. Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of all electrical components as per project requirements.

2. Device Testing & Integration

  • Test and evaluate
    smart meters, sensors, gateways, IoT devices
    , and other data acquisition hardware for compatibility with Elements Energy's EMS platform.
  • Ensure proper
    data extraction, communication, and integration
    from smart energy meters and sub-metering systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware communication issues (Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, WiFi, NB-IoT, LoRa, etc.).
  • Verify real-time and historical data flow from devices to backend systems.

3. Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports, installation logs, testing results, and device integration documents.
  • Update wiring diagrams, device configuration charts, and commissioning sheets.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for each facility's electrical network.

4. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the
    Energy Analytics team
    to ensure data accuracy and meter-to-platform validation.
  • Collaborate with the
    Tech team
    during platform integration, API testing, and device onboarding.
  • Assist the
    Design team
    in validating on-site conditions and preparing implementation drawings.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate new devices, technologies, and methods that improve energy data acquisition and system performance.
  • Recommend enhancements for faster, reliable, and cost-effective project deployments.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of
    electrical systems
    , SLDs, distribution boards, breakers, CTs, PTs, metering, and protection.
  • Experience with
    smart meters
    , communication protocols (Modbus/TCP, RTU), and data logging systems.
  • Basic knowledge of IoT devices, gateways, networking, and sensor configuration.
  • Hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic hardware.
  • Ability to manage field work, coordinate with contractors, and work in dynamic site environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Electrical / Electronics Engineering

  • 0–3 years of experience (freshers with relevant internship/technical project experience are welcome).
  • Strong problem-solving attitude, willingness to travel, and interest in clean energy/energy management.
