Job Description :


We are looking for an experienced IBM DataStage Developer to join our team in Dubai on a long-term contract. The candidate should have strong expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and be able to design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration solutions using IBM DataStage.

Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM DataStage.

- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources (RDBMS, flat files, cloud sources, etc.).

- Optimize DataStage jobs for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Handle data quality, cleansing, and validation during ETL processes.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting of ETL jobs.

- Work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality

solutions.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, job schedules, and metadata repositories.

- Provide production support, bug fixing, and performance tuning for ETL workflows.

Mandatory Skills :

- IBM DataStage 11.x/Parallel Extender (PX) - strong hands-on development experience.

- Expertise in ETL concepts, data modeling, data warehousing, and BI concepts.

- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and working with RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or

Teradata).

- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation and job orchestration.

- Performance tuning of DataStage jobs and SQL queries.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Experience with end-to-end ETL implementation in large-scale environments.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :

- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DataStage integration.

- Exposure to control-M or Autosys for job scheduling.

- Knowledge of Agile methodology and DevOps practices.

- Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.).

- Banking, financial, or telecom industry domain experience.

Qualification :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

- IBM DataStage certification is an added advantage.

Location : Dubai (Onsite Work from Office).
