Lead Planner - Renewable Energy Projects (Site Planning Role)

Location: Site Location, Karnataka

About the Role

We are hiring a Lead Planner for our client a leading renewable energy company engaged in large-scale solar and wind projects across India. This is a key role where you will drive end-to-end project planning, scheduling, and control, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and ensure alignment with defined milestones.
  • Lead resource planning and allocation, ensuring efficient utilization across project activities.
  • Regularly analyze project performance against baseline schedules and recommend corrective measures.
  • Prepare and present progress reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, delays, and resource constraints proactively.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  • Manage vendor invoicing, maintain project documentation, and ensure transparency of project data.
  • Maintain Risk Register, Issue Logs, and Lessons Learned documentation for assigned projects.
  • Promote and uphold a strong culture of safety, quality, and integrity at the workplace.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and control within the Renewable energy & Power sectors.
  • Strong command of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of MS Project or Primavera
  • Strong analytical and coordination abilities, proactive communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Commitment to innovation and sustainable development.
