Job Summary:

The Senior Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The role involves performing complex repairs, mentoring junior technicians, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting overall workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, and other vehicle components.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs accurately.
  • Supervise and guide junior technicians, providing training and support where required.
  • Ensure all repair work is completed efficiently and according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate service records and update job cards in the system.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm successful repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with the Service Advisor and Workshop Manager to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated on new vehicle technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair methods.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in automobile service or repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools, vehicle systems, and OEM repair standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Valid driving license.
