About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented
EPUB Associate
with strong skills in
XML
and ebook production.

The ideal candidate will work on
EPUB2/EPUB3 conversions
,
XML structuring
, and
quality validation
, ensuring every digital publication meets international standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Create, edit, and validate
EPUB (EPUB2 / EPUB3)
files.

· Structure and tag content accurately using
XML
.

· Implement clean, responsive
HTML5 / CSS3
for ebook layouts.

· Validate and troubleshoot files using
epubcheck
and QA tools.

· Optimize fonts, images, and other media assets for digital publishing.

· Ensure compatibility across ebook readers (Kindle, iBooks, ADE, etc.).

· Maintain clear version control and workflow documentation.

Required Skills

· Strong understanding of
XML
,
HTML5
, and
CSS3
.

· Hands-on experience with
EPUB creation and validation
.

· Familiar with tools such as
Sigil
,
Calibre
,
Oxygen XML Editor
,
Kindle Previewer
, or
Adobe InDesign
.

· Basic knowledge of
DTD / Schema
validation.

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Basic scripting (Python/Shell) knowledge — an added advantage.
