Azure Data Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL & Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Python, and PySpark to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and optimizing big data solutions on Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience in data migration, integration, and pipeline automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and related Azure services.Lead and execute end-to-end data migration projects, including transitioning from on-premises ETL solutions (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter) to Azure cloud environments.Integrate data from diverse sources into unified data architectures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver high-performance, maintainable, and secure data solutions.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployment and testing.Perform data validation, requirement analysis, and support disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.Provide technical expertise in healthcare or other regulated domains (preferred).Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SparkSQL.Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).Solid understanding of SQL Server, Shell Scripting, and enterprise data management.Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud platforms.Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Experience in healthcare data (e.g., CTMS, PBM) is a plus.Certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate will be an added advantage.EY | Building a better working world
