About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Python Automation Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in writing robust test scripts using Pytest and XPath, and a passion for delivering high-quality software through automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest framework.
  • Implement XPath selectors to validate UI elements and DOM structures in web applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to understand requirements and create comprehensive test cases.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain test documentation and contribute to test strategy and planning.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Extensive experience with Pytest for test automation.
  • Deep understanding of XPath for DOM navigation and element identification.
  • Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver or similar browser automation tools.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with BDD frameworks like Behave or Cucumber.
  • Exposure to REST API testing using tools like Postman or Python requests.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
