Engineer – Sourcing

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Strategic Sourcing person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic sourcing plan to ensure on-time development and approval of parts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for On Time Development & Approval of part as per Strategic sourcing plan.
• Responsible for additional source development (Capacity bottleneck items raised by buyer)
• Floating RFQ for Strategic sourcing development parts
• Responsible for Technical review signoff with supplier & SQA
• Perform Supplier Assessment (New/Existing) and Approval by implementing action for identified gaps
• Weekly/Monthly report update on development progress & tracking sheets updating Responsible for implementation of Strategic sourcing activities
• Price working and comparison
• Supporting Supply Chain to stream line production by capacity planning
• Supplier capacity enhancement to meet AOP
• Development and Approval of alternate source development parts

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supplier development in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, practices, and tools
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
