Qualification

  • Diploma / B.Sc in Endoscopy Technology or OT Technology from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in endoscopy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procedure Assistance:

  • Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all required instruments and equipment are ready.
  • Assist the physician during endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, etc.
  • Handle and operate endoscopy systems, light sources, and suction devices safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor patients during procedures under the direction of medical staff.

2. Equipment Handling & Maintenance:

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment after each procedure as per infection control protocols.
  • Inspect and maintain scopes, accessories, and instruments to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report equipment malfunction or repair needs immediately to the in-charge or biomedical department.

3. Patient Care & Coordination:

  • Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures and explain pre- and post-procedure instructions.
  • Assist in patient positioning and ensure privacy and comfort.
  • Support recovery room care under the guidance of nursing or medical staff.

4. Documentation & Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate procedure logs, patient records, and equipment maintenance registers.
  • Manage inventory of consumables, disinfectants, and accessories.
  • Coordinate with nursing, biomedical, and housekeeping departments for smooth operation of the unit.
