
Workshop Supervisor

Job Purpose:
To supervise and manage daily workshop operations, ensuring timely production, maintenance, and repair activities with adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Experience Required: 5–7 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise workshop activities for smooth operations.
- Allocate jobs to technicians, fitters, and operators based on priority.
- Monitor progress of production/repair tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping in the workshop.
- Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables; raise requisitions as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to workshop staff to improve efficiency and skill levels.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on production, machine utilization, and manpower deployment.
- Coordinate with other departments (Production, QA, Purchase, Stores) for smooth workflow.
- Enforce discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies among workshop staff.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and tools.
- Good understanding of preventive & breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a workshop.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP preferred).
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On-time completion of production and repair jobs.
- Machine uptime and efficiency.
- Reduction in breakdown frequency.
- Quality compliance and reduction in rework/rejections.
- Safety compliance and zero accidents.
- Effective manpower utilization.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
