Job Purpose:

To supervise and manage daily workshop operations, ensuring timely production, maintenance, and repair activities with adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Experience Required: 5–7 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise workshop activities for smooth operations.
  • Allocate jobs to technicians, fitters, and operators based on priority.
  • Monitor progress of production/repair tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping in the workshop.
  • Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables; raise requisitions as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to workshop staff to improve efficiency and skill levels.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on production, machine utilization, and manpower deployment.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Production, QA, Purchase, Stores) for smooth workflow.
  • Enforce discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies among workshop staff.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and tools.
  • Good understanding of preventive & breakdown maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a workshop.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP preferred).
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • On-time completion of production and repair jobs.
  • Machine uptime and efficiency.
  • Reduction in breakdown frequency.
  • Quality compliance and reduction in rework/rejections.
  • Safety compliance and zero accidents.
  • Effective manpower utilization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
