ITS Vice Presidency Context:
Information and Technology Solutions (ITS)
enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote
shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering transformative information
and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations.

Our vision is to transform how the Bank Group
accomplishes its mission through information and technology. In this
fast-paced, ever-changing world, the formulation and implementation of the ITS
strategy is an ongoing, iterative process of learning and adaptation developed
through extensive consultations with business partners throughout the World
Bank Group.
ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing
business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level
business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank
Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how
they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by
ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and
productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally;
and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide
risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a
growing cloud platform.

Implementation of the strategy is guided by
three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners
that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The second is to
provide the Bank Group with value for money with selective and standard
technologies. The third principle is to excel at the basics by providing a high
performing, robust, and resilient IT environment for the organization.

The ITS mission is to leverage information and
technology as a force multiplier to accelerate, deepen, and sustain development
impact. ITS is on an Agile transformation journey, reshaping all aspects of the
operating model to increase and accelerate value creation.

ITSRA Context:

The Risk and Analytics team has
embarked on a journey to streamline data management which is cloud based. The
target is to achieve a sing source of truth w.r.t. data for all Finance complex
needs. This data platform will be used for many different provisioning in terms
of data usage.
Our IT strategy is designed to align
IT initiatives with the WBG business strategy and with the overarching
objective of ensuring that users have uniform and easy access to information
and systems, both from Washington and country offices. This position has to be
a technically sound candidate around cloud technology and data management
principles.

The candidate will be expected to:

Technically very strong in cloud technologies, data management principles and able to individually deliver developed and tested components

Hands-on experience in ADLS, Parquet, Python and Dremio is an absolute must.

Good experience with BI tools such as Tableau/Power BI

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Clearly define the scope/solution of both Capital and RTB related projects and initiatives

- Capture, analyze and organize business requirements into a logical order.

- Prioritize requirements based on business needs.

- Develop software components

- Able to produce Tableau/Power BI dashboards

- Contribute toward technical discussion in arriving at new solutions

- Identify and document all non-functional requirements.

- Create business process maps and data flow diagrams.

- Communicate business requirements to business area experts and technical/development staff.

- Lead the identification and documentation of business metrics.

- Determine systems of record with the assistance of appropriate source system experts

- Help identify potential sources of data for the data repository.

- Oversee testing of data acquisition processes and their implementation.

- Help data modelers prepare models and review data models to ascertain that requirements are met.

- Participate in application testing, including unit testing, integrated testing and functional testing.

- Providing recommendations for business improvements, system enhancements and workflow changes.

Selection Criteria

* At a minimum, a bachelor's degree in finance,
Computer Science or related field; A masters level degree in computer science
or business administration is preferred.

* Prior experience in Treasury/Finance or Financial Risk management

* SAFe Agile development experience and Certification

* Industry certification or academic credentials in software development

* Extensive experience in working with data, SQL and scripting.

* Application support experience on a vast landscape that includes demanding user base

* Experience in performing "segregation of duties" activities on a production landscape

* Experience in conducting structured interviews and in eliciting key information to capture business requirements for IT systems development.

* Relevant experience in providing IT-enabled solutions to financial institutions.

* Strong expertise in business/technical process improvement and re-engineering and identifying gaps between "As-is" and "To be" states

* Experience in working with data and business process modeling tools

* Up-to-date, best practice experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

* Proven business judgment: Ability to distinguish between what is and is not critical, and to balance both strategic and short-term issues.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

* Excellent interpersonal skills
