Job Summary:
The role of a Panchakarma Therapist involves working closely within the Ayurvedic framework to support individuals on their wellness journey. The position requires hands-on execution of traditional therapies, while also ensuring a serene and comforting experience for clients. A calm presence, attention to detail, and commitment to upholding the therapeutic values of Ayurveda will be essential in delivering effective care and promoting holistic healing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform Panchakarma therapies such as Abhyanga, Swedana, Shirodhara, Basti, Nasya, Vamana, Virechana, etc., as per the Ayurvedic doctor's prescription.
· Prepare therapy materials including oils, powders, decoctions, and other required equipment before each session.
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the therapy room, equipment, and linens.
· Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all therapies and ensure client safety and comfort.
· Record therapy details, feedback, and observations post-session.
· Support clients emotionally during detox or intense therapies with a calm and caring attitude.
· Communicate therapy schedule and follow-up sessions clearly to clients.
· Coordinate with doctors, front desk, and housekeeping for seamless client experience.
· Adhere to center policies on dress code, punctuality, client interaction, and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Certified Panchakarma Therapist from a recognized institution.
· Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Panchakarma or Ayurvedic therapies.
· Knowledge of Ayurvedic herbs, oils, and traditional techniques.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Physically fit and able to perform therapies requiring standing and manual work.
· Calm, disciplined, and service-oriented attitude.
· Ability to handle sensitive client situations with empathy and professionalism.
Preferred Attributes:
· Experience working in Ayurvedic hospitals, wellness centers, or retreats.
· Basic understanding of spoken English or regional languages for client interaction.
· Knowledge of other traditional wellness therapies (e.g., yoga, marma, etc.) is a plus.
Work Schedule: 6 days a week (including weekends as per client appointments)
