We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Journal Copy Editor to join our editorial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining manuscripts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with IAEME's editorial and publication standards. This role is critical in upholding the quality and credibility of our journals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and proofread research manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to IAEME's style guide and publication format.
  • Check for accuracy in references, citations, figures, and tables.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, style, and formatting across all manuscripts.
  • Collaborate with authors, reviewers, and editorial staff to address queries and resolve issues.
  • Ensure manuscripts meet ethical publishing standards and avoid plagiarism or duplication.
  • Assist in preparing final versions of articles for online and print publication.
  • Track and manage multiple manuscripts simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a copy editor, preferably in academic or scholarly publishing.
  • Strong command of English grammar, syntax, and style.
  • Familiarity with academic writing, research methodologies, and referencing styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word (advanced editing and formatting) and MS Excel (data tracking, reports, and records management).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of plagiarism detection tools and digital publishing platforms (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹12,000.00 per month
