Role Summary:

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator with strong hands-on experience in networking, system administration, firewall management, access point configuration, and daily user support. The candidate will ensure uptime, reliability, and security of our IT environment and coordinate with vendors for hardware/network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, access points, and cabling infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot daily user IT issues (network connectivity, printer, system, email, and access problems).
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, VPN connections, and network security policies.
  • Maintain and optimize Wi-Fi / Access Point networks for coverage and performance.
  • Monitor network health and take preventive measures for uptime and stability.
  • Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and hardware vendors for maintenance, AMC, and issue escalation.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and network devices with documentation and configuration records.
  • Support installation, upgrades, and patching of desktop OS and software.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security guidelines and assist in internal/external audits.
  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network and system incidents.
  • Regularly review and update network diagrams and configuration backups.
  • Experience managing Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing & switching.
  • Hands-on with firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Wi-Fi Access Points (Ubiquiti, Cisco, Netgear ,TP-Link, or similar).
  • Experience managing Windows Servers, Active Directory, and user permissions.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Good understanding of structured cabling, patch panels, and rack management.
