Job Title: Design Engineer – Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented design engineer to support the design and development of products and components in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to create innovative, efficient, and manufacturable designs that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, assemblies, and tooling using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
  • Collaborate with production and process teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Interpret customer specifications, standards, and requirements to develop accurate design solutions.
  • Perform design validation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and revision history.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and pilot production activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to address product development and process improvement.

Performance Expectations:

  • Accuracy and completeness of drawings and BOMs.
  • Timely delivery of design projects.
  • Collaboration and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Suggest innovative solutions for cost, quality, and manufacturability improvements.
  • Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (fresher to 2+ years) in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication).
  • Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Salary: Based on Experience and Performance.
