About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Technical Lead (PHP) to join our team in Vadodara. The ideal candidate will lead a team of PHP developers, provide technical guidance, and drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PHP developers.
  • Design and implement scalable backend solutions using PHP frameworks (Laravel preferred).
  • Work with Open Source platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, and Magento.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and technical planning.
  • Break down complex requirements into actionable tasks and assign to team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and sprint planning activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation of code, architecture, and APIs.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in PHP (7.x/8.x) with hands-on experience in Laravel, CodeIgniter, or other modern frameworks.
  • Proficiency in MySQL / PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Front-end knowledge: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, with exposure to / React preferred.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or containerized deployments (plus).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC & Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
