Your Impact

This position involves being part of a dynamic team environment responsible for designing, developing, configuring and supporting software solutions to meet business requirements.

Primarily focused on web development on our eCommerce platform. The candidate should have experience developing clean, scalable, secure web applications using modern technologies. The ideal candidate has full-stack experience working with databases, servers and browsers.

What the role offers

• Translate and validate business requirements, converting them into detailed functional and technical specifications within established frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure business objectives and requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
• Design and develop scalable, cost-effective solutions that meet business needs within defined timelines.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, implementation, integration testing, and post-production support.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code aligned with design and coding standards.
• Perform detailed technical design and implementation of complex software components.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and system-level issues.
• Propose innovative solutions or alternatives that balance risk, complexity, and delivery effort.
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintainability, and performance standards.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical growth and adherence to development standards.
• Collaborate across teams and functional areas to ensure interoperability with other products, providing technical guidance and training as needed.
• Contribute to Agile development processes, actively participating from design through to release cycles.
• Adhere to established Change Management and Configuration Management procedures.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve advanced application and production issues promptly.

What you need to succeed

• A bachelor's degree, college diploma or equivalent experience in software development
• 5+ years of web development experience with Java, J2ee, Spring Boot
• 5+ years of experience integrating with third-party APIs using REST and SOAP
• 5+ years of experience creating REST and SOAP APIs
• 5+ years of extensive knowledge of server-side web development (Java preferred)
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing database objects using best practices within Microsoft SQL Server
• 3+ years of experience in eCommerce transactional SQL Server development working as a SQL developer
• Knowledge of proper database normalization, indexing, transaction protection, and locking
• 3+ years of experience developing tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, functions, and constraints
• Aptitude in advanced design patterns including ways of implementing AOP
• Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (SQL Server preferred)
• Ability to write comprehensive unit tests
• Proficient in using source control management systems (Git preferred)
• Experience with Linux and working on the command line
• Experience deriving technical requirements from non-technical sources
• Strong hands-on experience with web technologies, web standards& protocols
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time to meet deadlines
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
