Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager – Procurement to lead and manage our procurement team at our Bangalore office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. 

Key Responsibilities:

·      Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Establish and manage the procurement policies, guidelines, and best practices. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings & efficiency improvements. 

  • Partner/Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring the best terms, high-quality service , and long-term partnerships. Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure performance, quality, and delivery standards are met and resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favourable and advantageous terms for the organization , ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and risks are mitigated.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory and logistics teams to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained to meet business needs without overstocking.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with legal and company policies, including ethical sourcing, contract management, and quality control.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control the procurement budget, reporting on cost-saving opportunities and spending efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments such as finance, business, operations, and legal to align procurement activities with organizational needs.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor KPIs for procurement performance (e.g., supplier performance, cost savings)
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to enhance high performance, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CSCP) is a plus. 

Experience:

7-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in the [industry related to the company]. 

Skills:

  • Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost efficiency and improve service levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience handling complex contracts.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with local and international suppliers and markets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance and legal aspects of procurement.
