Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will assist in daily accounting operations, record keeping, and financial reporting. The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and supporting the finance team in audits and compliance. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Maintain ledgers for accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
  • Process vendor invoices, expense claims, and payments.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Handle petty cash transactions and reconciliation.

Reconciliation & Reporting:

  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
  • Assist in monthly and yearly closing activities.
  • Support the preparation of basic financial reports and statements.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

Coordination & Support:

  • Work closely with senior accountants and finance team members.
  • Provide necessary data for internal and external audits.
  • Support in budgeting and cost tracking when required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience (freshers may also apply).
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and basic tax concepts preferred.

Pay: ₹300, ₹500,000.00 per year
