Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer - SMS (Induction Furnace) located in Kurnool , Andhra Pradesh. The role involves overseeing the following point- Strong experience in mechanical maintenance of
Induction Furnaces (IF)
,
EOT Cranes
,
Fume Extraction Systems (FES)
,
Slag Crusher units
, and
auxiliary equipment
.

Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

Proficient in maintenance of
gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic systems, cooling towers, conveyors.
Skilled in planning and executing
preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance
schedules. Strong knowledge of fabrication, alignment, welding inspection, and material selection.

Experience in manpower handling, maintenance planning, and ensuring minimum downtime. Expert in
ERP systems
for material management, job card creation, PR/PO processing, and maintenance tracking. Advanced user of
MS Office
, especially
Excel
, Word, and Outlook for technical reporting and communication. Good understanding of
industrial safety
, LOTO procedures, and hazard identification.

Ensures compliance with ISO standards and maintains proper documentation. Strong team coordination ability with operators, technicians, and cross-functional departments.

Skilled in preparing daily/weekly maintenance reports, breakdown analysis reports, and presenting data to management.

Ability to train junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and practices
  • Experience in Project Management, with the ability to lead and execute tasks efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with induction furnace operations is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
