SAP ABAP HANA Consultant

Job Description :

An SAP ABAP HANA Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming language while leveraging the advanced capabilities of the SAP HANA database. This role bridges traditional SAP development with next-gen in-memory computing to deliver high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Custom Development

  • Build and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and HANA-specific features.

  • Develop RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).

  • Performance Optimization

  • Utilize HANAs in-memory computing to enhance application speed and efficiency.

  • Apply techniques like SQL Script and code pushdown for optimized data processing.

  • Integration & Enhancement

  • Implement OData services and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

  • Customize SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI) using BADI, BAPI, and enhancement frameworks.

  • Collaboration & Consulting

  • Work closely with business analysts and functional consultants to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Provide expert guidance during SAP implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.

  • Testing & Documentation

  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Proven experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points.
  • Proficiency in SQL Script, OData, ALV reporting, and SAP Fiori.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes:

  • SAP ABAP and/or HANA certification.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning in SAP technologies.
