Position Overview:
Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking to hire
Experienced Software Engineer - Flight Management system - Verification and Validation
for Boeing India Software Engineering (BISE) to join their team in Bengaluru, India. Develop, document and maintain test architectures, test cases and procedures for software systems. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and supports software supplier management activities. Supports development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Works under minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities:

• Has strong experience in Flight Management Systems. Capable of simulating any scenarios and also able to guide the team on the same.
• Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
• Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Works under general direction.
• Development, integration, and testing of software system on embedded hardware. Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of system software infrastructure.

Basic Qualification:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
• The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
• Develops test cases and Test scripts and Support Certification Documents preparation
• Solid programming knowledge with C/C++ and Python.
• Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience
• Experience in Verifying both High level and Low Level software requirements
• Experience with Linux or Unix experience is desirable
• Strong experience in Flight Management Systems
• Simulating the various scenarios in FMS and guiding the team on complex scenarios.
• Guide the team to resolve any technical issues. Proactively communicate with all stakeholders and take actions to find solution for complex issues.
• Exposure in DO-178C

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.
• Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.

• Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8-10 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 9 years' related work experience.)
