Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 6+ years of hands-on development experience to design, develop, and support SAP ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance ABAP programs including:

  • Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)

  • Module Pool programs
  • SmartForms / SAP Scripts / Adobe Forms

  • User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, Enhancements

  • Develop and optimize Object-Oriented ABAP programs

  • Work on RFCs, BAPIs, IDOCs, and interface development
  • Handle Data Dictionary (DDIC) objects: Tables, Views, Data Elements, Domains, Search Helps
  • Perform performance tuning and code optimization
  • Debug standard SAP programs and analyze production issues
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements
  • Prepare technical specifications and unit test documents
  • Support testing cycles (Unit, Integration, UAT) and production deployments

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Core ABAP
  • Expertise in OO ABAP
  • Experience with ALV (OO/CL_GUI_ALV) reports
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Experience in Enhancements Framework
  • Knowledge of Workflow, Background Jobs, and Spool management
  • Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 / S/4HANA
  • Exposure to HANA concepts (Open SQL, CDS basics preferred)

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience with CDS Views & AMDP
  • SAP Fiori OData services
  • ABAP on HANA optimization techniques
  • Exposure to S/4HANA migration projects
  • Knowledge of SAP PI/PO or CPI integrations

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science / MCA or equivalent

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in client-facing roles is an advantage
