Associate Professor

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or an allied area from a reputed institution, and a good research record and background.

While candidature in all areas of Computer Science would be considered, the following sub-areas are currently of special interest:

• Computer Systems and Networking: Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing, High Performance Computing, Cybersecurity
• Software Engineering: Databases, Data Mining, Data Warehousing, System Design and Analysis, Code Analysis, Software Testing, Application Development
• Human Computer Interaction: UI/UX, Cognitive Computing, Interaction Design, Intelligent and Adaptive Interfaces, Multimodal Interfaces, Computer Graphics, Gaming
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Deep Learning, Adversarial Machine Learning, Quantum Machine Learning, Multimodal Learning, Responsible AI, Reinforcement Learning, Federated Learning
• Natural Language Processing: Knowledge Representation, Large Language Models, Information Retrieval

(i) Ph. D. with a first class or equivalent in the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout; and

(ii) A strong research record with publications in reputed journals and conferences.

Associate Professor

A minimum of six years post-Ph.D. teaching/research/professional experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at higher educational institutions. A strong research record as evidenced by publications, external research grants /projects, and experience in doctoral supervision is expected.

(3) A teaching statement giving teaching methodology, teaching experience, foundation/core courses you would like to teach, and elective courses you would like to teach.

Faculty will be responsible for conducting independent research within their respective fields and teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates with interdisciplinary expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.
