Industrial Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of industrial premises, equipment, materials, and personnel. This position requires vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance and Monitoring:
  • Monitor security cameras, alarms, and surveillance systems to detect any suspicious activity.
  • Report any incidents, security breaches, or potential threats to the supervisor or relevant authorities.
  • Observe and monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas of the facility to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Patrolling:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility (indoors and outdoors) to check for signs of damage, fire, or safety hazards.
  • Inspect doors, gates, and windows to ensure they are securely locked and functioning properly.
  • Ensure the facility remains free from trespassing, vandalism, or theft.
  • Access Control:
  • Verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises, including employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Issue identification badges or passes and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Enforce access control policies, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed access to sensitive areas.
  • Incident Response:
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, including fire, medical emergencies, or security breaches.
  • Provide first aid or emergency assistance as necessary until help arrives.
  • Record and report incidents accurately in logs or incident reports.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure that safety and security protocols, including emergency evacuation procedures, are followed.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
  • Monitor hazardous materials or machinery to prevent accidents and unauthorized access.
  • Report Writing and Documentation:
  • Maintain daily security logs, incident reports, and activity reports for management review.
  • Document any discrepancies, violations, or incidents that occur during shifts.
  • Collaboration with Law Enforcement:
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency responders when necessary.
  • Assist in investigations, when required, providing witness statements or evidence.
  • General Security Duties:
  • Escort personnel or visitors to restricted areas if required.
  • Respond to employee concerns regarding safety or security-related issues.
  • Operate and monitor security equipment (metal detectors, access control systems, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some positions may require further security-related certifications (e.g., Security Officer Certification, CPR/First Aid training).
  • Experience:
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time
