Teradata and Informatica Developer

  • Develop and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions in Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Write and optimize SQL and BTEQ scripts in Teradata for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Perform data profiling, data validation, and performance tuning of ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Manage data migration, incremental loads, and error handling logic.
  • Implement source-to-target mappings, parameter files, and workflow scheduling (Control-M, Autosys, etc.).
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and production support for ETL jobs.
  • Work with DBAs and system admins to ensure query optimization and database performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and data flows.

Required Skills:

  • Teradata SQL, BTEQ, utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport).
  • Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor).
  • Strong SQL tuning and data modeling understanding.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys).
  • Exposure to performance optimization techniques in Teradata and Informatica.Role & responsibilities
