Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Collaborate with data architects to define data integration strategies.
  • Extract data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
  • Transform data to meet business requirements using data processing techniques.
  • Load transformed data into target data warehouses, ensuring data integrity.
  • Optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor data quality checks and validation processes.
  • Document ETL processes, workflows, and data mappings for future reference.
  • Participate in data model design and schema development.
  • Work with analytics teams to understand data usage and reporting needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction and transformation.
  • Maintain version control for ETL workflows and documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest ETL tools and best practices.
  • Provide support during data migration and system upgrade projects.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
  • Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Microsoft SSIS.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Understanding of data governance practices and data security measures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization in data processes.
